This is Deer Camp in the UP The cabin has no running water and the lights are run off of two 12 volt batteries. This year we had six 15 watt solar panels to keep the batteries topped off. These panels make power even on cloudy days .No need to run a generator . I love Solar Power !

Hey that’s a great idea ! Running water in camp , and heated . Might have to try that .
Great idea with the simple wood stand. I did the same with treated 4×4′s. Some firring strips and clips to keep the panels in place. Beats the heck out of the commercial mounting racks that run hundreds, eh? By the way, I added running water by simply putting out a rain barrel with screen. Use your batts to run a shur-flo 12V RV pump from barrel to a $96 Ecco-Temp on demand water heater. Nice to take a hot shower and wash pots/pans. Cheers!
What is the distance from the panels to controller & what size wire (awg) did you use? I use the same panels at my camp & enjoy not having to listen to a gen running.

@fdeldredge , I bought a used set of panels and one was broken but still worked just fine . We just threw a couple pieces of scrap plexy over the top of the broken panel . Looked bad but worked great ! Thanks for the comment !

Nice solar setup. I would love to have a little place like that in the middle of no where. I hope you found your buck. How smooth is your pasture? It looked like I could get my plane in there.
